Comic Con - Day 1

OMG!!  There are a gazillion people here.

Well, the registration line took a little over an hour and 30 minutes to get through.  That was fun...(not so much).  But we went right to something at Ballroom 20 and sat through something that didn't interest us that much.  Though Robert Picardo was on the panel, and Chris Pine called in and talked to the audience.  It was for some animated movie.  But after that, there was an EW sponsored panel called "Wonder Women: Female Power Icons in Pop Culture".  That panel had Eliza Dushku, Zoe Saldana, Elizabeth Mitchell and Sigourney Weaver.  It was super-cool!  I liked all the women a lot...except for Dushku who comes across a little full of herself.  But OMG, Sigourney rocks!  And Zoe seemed like a real nice, really grounded young woman.

Then came a panel for "Burn Notice", with Mr Bruce Campbell himself.  It was SO MUCH DAMNED FUN!!  Bruce totally did not disappoint.  He's a fucking rock star.  The crowd went bananas for him.  And he looks awesome.  We were very lucky to have great seats, so I got some good pics of Mr Campbell.  The head writer of "Burn Notice" was also very funny.  And that panel was moderated by Michael Shanks.  I think he was/is on Stargate?  Anyway, he was very funny as well.  When I get home, I'll post pics from these panels.

Tomorrow morning, we are getting up at the ass crack of dawn to try and get into the Farscape panel, then we hope to see "The Big Bang Theory", "24" and "Bones".  Everyone send good vibes my way.  The Farscape panel will be a good trial run for "Smallville" since its the same room, at the same time of the morning, just on different days.

Oh, and I picked up a SV bookmark at the DC booth.  It has Clark and Chloe on it.  :)

I hope to have some fun updates for you tomorrow.

I'm glad you're having fun!
Have you heard anything about the rumors flying around that they're going to reveal a Superman-type suit at the SV panel? Supposedly, Warner Bros. was randomly pulling people out of the audience and showing them the suit tonight to build up hype. People are saying that the suit is made out of leather with no cape. Right now this is all rumor and hearsay...

The other part of the rumor is that Tom is going to show up at the panel on Sunday, wearing the uniform. I'll believe THAT when I see it.

Good luck getting to see everything you want! If you find out any scoop, let us know!

No, I've heard nothing at the Con itself. But I was in panels most of the day, so who knows? I hope...
