Screentime Totals for Fierce

I wanted to get this out of the way quickly, so I could try and purge this episode from my mind as soon as possible.  I  thought this episode was absolutely dreadful.  In so many ways, that it really seems easier to just say all of it, and call it a day.  But, I do want to give props to one thing that really worked, and that was the final Lex/Kara scene.  That was cool.  But I'm still hoping that Lex is more all about Clark, then about Kara.  She's just a new conduit to his hearts desire.  Well, thats how I would write it.

And I always love Shelby, especially when he stands his ground and barks at the approaching menace threatening his person. ;)

And TW and LV are still demonstrating good chemistry, so I want to give props to that as well.

The rest?  Terrible.

Who edited this episode?  Edwards Scissorhands?

OK, enough reliving that nightmare, here are the screentime totals for this episode, and the season thus far

Lex      7m, 26s

He had less screen time than Laura?

Actually, there was some things to love about this but so much to hate.

I'm not sure how I feel about this episode just yet.

Yeah, Laura beat him this week. And I can live with that if it doesn't become a regular thing. If it does? Gloves come off!

Overall though, Clark's screentime is up over last season :)

Glad to hear it, but you aren't including Bizarro!Clark in your running tally.

Isn't he coming back? (Thus giving us yet more onscreen time for Tom?)

No, actually when I calculate screentime, I do it for each character, not the actor. So, Bizarro doesn't count as Clark screentime. It would count for Tom Welling screentime, and it would increase his overall totals by 8m, 48s.

Sometimes, a character has screentime but isn't always played by the same character. For instance, the screentimes for Lex and Oliver in the S6 episode Reunion included the time they were played in flashbacks by younger actors.

Oh, I realize that Bizarro's screentime is seperate than Clark's...

I was just saying he's a recurring character this year and you aren't including him the running totals so far this season.

I thought he was going to be in several episodes and will be back later...

Although, I guess you aren't including Lionel in that either, although he was only in Bizarro for less than a minute...

Yeah, I've never included Lionel's screentime totals, though I guess it would be interesting to keep track of that too. Maybe I'll start :)

I always kept it to the younger cast members, and prominent younger recurring guest stars. Though I haven't been doing Grant Gabriel this year. Not sure why.

I will tally all of Bizarro's screentime when/if he comes back though. Just so I can have an overall total for TW at the end of the season.

Thats the impression I get, but this show has a long history of disappointing me in this area. I kept hoping Lexana would be more about Clark for Lex, but instead, Lex turned into another guy obsessed with Lana *yawn*

But it did feel right. Its the only scene in the episode that did for me.
