Oh Smallville....Really?

A much longer review will follow, but I just wanted to say....I laughed.  I laughed really hard.  Like, I thought I might pee my pants laughing.  And somehow, I don't think that was what the episode was going for.

Quite possibly, the worst villian ever.

And I really need the actress playing Mia to close her mouth.

Oh, Tom looked beautiful.  But, ya know, thats like a big "Duh!"

Yes, both Mia and the whatever his name was really brought the episode down. And there was a lot of WTF going on, like how they conveniently forgot about Ollie's relationship with Tess. Oh well - I enjoyed the Clark, Lois, Zod stuff, and thought it was reassuring that Clark actually seemed to get the better of Chloe in their face-off. So, a B-? I'll have to rewatch it.

He really might be. I was trying to come up with a worse one - the dog-nappers in Krypto, the beauty queens in Fierce? But at least they were trying to act. This guy was just...there.

(Weird because he was quite fun in his brief appearance on SPN as Dr. Sexy)

When she and BoredAgain were in the same scene it was like this charisma-void opened up.

Tom did look pretty - those seemed like tighter pants than usual: good call!

"Quite possibly, the worst villian ever."

The jeweler from Committed still gets my vote as worst SV villain ever. Of course, I hate everything about Committed, so that might be tainting my opinion of him a bit. But this guy is right up there.

Heh. ITA, the big bad Dark Archer was a bit of a limp arrow, and laughably so.

I got kind of a kick out of Mia, but I'm not sure how she fits into this show right now. I get that she's part of the omg!mythology, but is she going to be a semi-regular now?

How adorable to see Clark on a date? Gah! I thought there was a bit of weirdness happening with his hair in that first scene, but he still looked gorgeous.

It occurred to me that I would probably like Chloe more if they would cut down on the cutesy "Chloe-speak" at this point in the show. It absolutely grates on me, and I think her character should have grown out of much of that by now. She's not the only character who has those kind of lines, but she seems to deliver the most of it.

Am I the only one who snickered at Chloe's "cult" dialog? I think the show is getting a kick out of poking back at the fans a bit. I love it, and I'm sure the fan convention episode will be a hoot.

Oh! Also snickered at the patented SV hospital scene of someone comforting someone, while someone else looks morosely through the window. LOL...Oh. SV.

Really looking forward to your in-depth review. I'm being lazy and going into comments only mode.

OH GOD ME TOO. It just never sounds very natural - but then Allison Mack is one of those actors you can *see* acting, if that makes sense.

I didn't mind Merlyn, but I did start to doze off a few times, so maybe I didn't get the full "effect."

I don't really think this is a good episode for people to come back to, and I feel sorry for the folks who might have expected "Absolute Justice" and instead got this episode.

As for Mia- I'm really not a fan. I don't know if it's the casting, or the way she is written, but she does not appeal to me at all.

I actually like Mia in this episode. She came across more likeable than in the other episode. The episode was pretty good; I enjoyed Clark/Lois/Zod/and sometimes Oliver for once. lol. Favorite scenes: Clark/Zod, I wouldn't call these two "frenemies." these two went toe to toe with each other, I loved how Clark called him on his BS he was spouting and saw right through it. From the ep Pandora, I thought he was gonna play nice with Zod; he is barely toleratimg him. If Clark were human he would likely have an ulcer from all the stress. Clois, awesome not too much and not too little, just very understated and lovely. Chloe, eh was it me or that last scene was even chiller than usual? even when Clark being semi friendly, I don't see how this ship has a big following still their friendship seems to come down to a formality.

It wasn't Oliver-centric that Roulette was, that's for sure. Clark had the most screentime so this ends the trend of Lois getting more than Clark now. Disciple wasn't as bad as I thought. I'm glad that they delve into the Clark/ Lois/ Zod storyline here because I was afraid they were going to sweep it under the rug after their meeting in Pandora. The chemistry between Clark and Zod is there.

Which one? The Dark Archer or Zod? :|

I really enjoyed all the Clark and Lois bits though.
