Screentime Minutes for Injustice

First off, I want to thank everyone for their sympathies and kind words.  Please forgive me for not responding to each comment, but I would just have ended up saying thank you over and over again.  It really means the world to me though, to know that I have such great, kind hearted people on my flist.  I ::hug:: you all.

Just the screentime minutes this week.  I'm not feeling up to a review.  Not just due to my personal situation, but just because I'm feeling rather burned out by SV in general.  I'm not a fan of the storyline thats currently dominating the show, and so I feel rather unmoved and detached.  All I do want to say is that Tom Welling sure does now how to make himself look beautiful, which DUH, not exactly rocket science there.  And Cassiday Freeman still rocks!

Running Time: 41m, 51s (Previously on: 41s)

Clark: 24m, 9s
Tess: 16m, 39s
Oliver: 11m, 50s

Fake Chloe: 10m, 12s

Year to Date (# of eps)

Clark: 426m, 15s (21)
Chloe: 274m, 12s (20)*
Lois: 146m, 35s (11)
Jimmy: 103m, 24s (10)
Tess: 115m, 8s (12)
Davis: 109m, 52s (11)
Oliver: 124m, 29s (11)

*The Fake Chloe totals from Injustice do not count towards Chloe's screentime minutes for the season.

Wow! I didn't even realize that there were technically only 3 regular characters in this, since Fake!Chloe doesn't really count.

I'm glad Tom had so much screen time and I have to agree with you that he certainly does know how to make himself look even more gorgeous. I wonder if he's one of those people who hates looking at himself on film and is always super critical of himself? It seems like he'd more likely be a person like that than someone who is always admiring themselves in a mirror and and fawning over his own beauty and such...

I don't know how they would have realistically fit Lois into this storyline, but I was missing her. They really screwed her over in the back half of this season, in my opinion.

Thank you for doing the screen time minutes. I hope it was a good distraction, if only for a little while. I've been thinking about you. *hugs*

At the end of the season, I'll do seperate tallies for the actors as opposed to the characters. Because this episode, and Hex, really screwed everything up. SV loves to make my life more difficult. LOL

I always think Tom is one of those people who is perfectly aware of his looks, and how that effects other people. And I think he understands how to present himself on camera. But I also think he's not much interested in being known for his looks, or being stared at all the time. In other words, I don't think he's full of himself of conceited at all. But he's a smart guy...he knows he's beautiful.

Lois totally got screwed. Totally. No 2 ways about it.

And yeah, it was a good distraction. :)

Thanks Luke. I'll holler if I need them. I do keep write down that information and keep it to the side for the finals. Hopefully I can make sense of it at the end of the season.

Thank you for the screentime minutes, though I'll miss your regular review. But I understand: even though I found this episode tolerable by the standard of Beast, this whole storyline is just not a whole lot of fun. IMO, especially because of Ollie acting like such an ass-hat. I really wish they'd trimmed back a lot of his scenes and given us more with the Injustice League. I didn't want or expect a big fight, but a little more set up might not have gone amiss, and would have been more interesting to me than watching Tess shoot down Ollie's overtures.

Thanks for missing my review. I just couldn't make myself do one. And don't get me wrong, because this episode was tolerable. I'm just so sick of it all. It seems every week I watch the show and just wish Clark had different friends, and still had his mom, and everyone wasn't always telling him what to do, or deciding things for him. I'm just so bored with it all.

And yeah, the Injustice League? What a waste. Why even bother?

Thanks. I'm hanging in there. I'm feeling very sorry for my cat Duncan right now. He's so lonely :(

I can completely relate to this. For someone like myself who tends to go on and on (and on) about each ep, I had shockingly few comments to make on this one.

Thanks for the minutes though.

I saw your review, and I could totally get that vibe from you. Its all so "Meh!", isn't it? I hope you'll understand why I'm not doing to commenting things this week.

I'm committed to the minutes though. Come rain or come shine.

Of course I understand. No 'splainin needed.

Hell, I haven't even had a rough time of late and even I can't muster up too much conversation for SV this week.

He dressed himself so beautifully in this episode - I was swooning over the outfits, and their contents!

I am SO in love with that 3/4 length black jacket. Its so chic, and flattering. I would love to know the designer on it, because I'd bet money it is designer. And that last scene in the barn with Tess? Where he's wearing the dress shirt, sleeves rolled up, and jeans? Thats a very good look for our Tom. A VERY good look!

Thank you for the screen time totals! Lots of Clark, which is always what I like to see.

Agreed! Tom wearing all black was just amazing. :D

*hugs* I'm sorry SV and RL is burning you out in their own way.

Lots of Clark always make an episode better then it would be otherwise.

And thanks! I'm sure I'll be back to my normal self soon...whatever that is. LOL

Thanks for giving us the screentime minutes. I love seeing Clark have so much time onscreen, and I love that Tom got to direct an episode in which his character had so much to do.

I'm sorry Smallville has you down. I understand what you mean, and I'm not sure why it's not bothering me so much. I think it's because Clark has come through this most recent series of dark episodes so much stronger than in the past. The rest of the show and characters are a mess, but at least Clark isn't beating himself up and apologizing to everyone. I cling to that.

After this episode, I'm really curious to see what interaction Clark has with Lois in the finale. She is the last remaining positive note in his life right now, IMO, and I'd love to see him connect with her for strength and inspiration before he faces Doomsday. But I have no idea what they have planned. I'm looking forward to the last episode, but I'm worried about it, too, as I think you know. The DC already makes it look like there have been changes from what we thought was going to happen. What other surprises are they going to hit us with? :(

I'm pondering some fun fandom stuff to do over the long summer hiatus, but I think my first order of business will be a nice long break. Maybe we all need some distance. And a Tommy sighting would fill in the gap quite nicely, too, but I'm not crazy enough to hope for that.

And again, I'm so sorry for your loss. *hugs*

Thanks *hugs back*

I do agree with you that Clark has been great, but I think I'm getting so frustrated with him not telling a whole bunch of people to just fuck the hell off. And it was just disheartening to see him blame himself for Chloe's choices. I really hope that he and Chloe have a nice long talk next season and set some new ground rules. Because this friendship isn't working for me, or the show, right now.

I do like Clark's interaction with Lois, but its so sporadic, and when Lois is off screen its as if she doesn't even exist. Its hard to remain invested in the character when TPTB don't seem to be, ya know? I feel sorry for ED, who really has gotten screwed in the latter part of this season.

Over the hiatus, and I fully intend to do the screentime totals for S1. I should've had them done already. I won't hold my breath for a Tommy sighting. I love him, but he's a putz!

Oh, I couldn't agree more. Fuck the hell off and STFU. Like you've been saying for awhile, Clark needs a new group of friends.

I'd like to see him have it out with Chloe especially, but after what KS has been saying, I'm not very hopeful that will happen. I think the official stance might even be that Chloe was right and Clark was wrong, although I can't even begin to wrap my mind around that one. Isn't it amazing how this show can manage to piss off ALL of their fans?

I'm hoping Erica has more episodes next season, or at least that everyone's appearances are scheduled in blocks, instead of one here, one there. It has hurt all the part-time characters to be in only half of the season, except maybe Tess. Her presence is strong enough to sustain her character even when she's not there.

I love him, but he's a putz!

LOL! I'm gonna have to agree with you there, too. :)
